Outdoor Team Development Program
There are many different views on teambuilding. Some think that it is about communication, problem solving, trust building or brainstorming. All of these are important components of building a team. The most important component of all is Fun!
Camp Lake James has created an Outdoor Team Development Program that will get any group laughing and working together. These team building exercises create positive interaction within a group and will enhance their ability to work effectively as a team. Our goal is to give you some skills to use when you get back into the real world.
We will customize our activities to your group’s ability level and needs. Anyone can participate. These activities are great to incorporate into corporate retreats. Enjoy Camp Lake James in a whole new way!
Whether you’re looking for something adventurous or relaxing we’ve got it all. From Kayaking on Lake James to a more adventurous trip down the Catawba River. If you want to see the lake from a different perspective try our special guided kayaking trip under the moonlight.
As far as teambuilding goes, we offer a variety of choices. Try Orienteering, group problem solving or cardboard boat races, these are just a few options you may choose from. If you’re looking for a more relaxing event, bonfires are a great idea. They are not only fun but you’ll work together to cook your own meal. Another relaxing activity available is watching an outdoor movie of your choice under the stars on our thirty foot inflatable screen. You can also take a pilates class while enjoying the beautiful ambiance of the lake on our Lakeside Lawn.
 If you are looking to spend the night, we have rental Cabins available that sleep 4-6 or 3-5 people depending on the cabin. For more information on the rental cabins please click here.
Spend the rest of your day by enjoying Camp Lake James facility which includes our Social Hall, pools, kayaks, nature trails and Expedition Center which are included in the Corporate Retreat package.
